Thoughts and inspirations

The origins of Garofalo Whole Wheat Spaghetti are not certain.
According to some it was Marco Polo who introduced this shape of pasta to Italy upon returning from his trip to China.
There is, however, a previous mention in Sicily: a book by Ruggero di Al-Idrisi
mentions a pasta in the form of rounded threads which is called itrya, which will later be called vermicelli and then spaghetti.

We take nothing for granted when processing our pasta.
Each step, each process draws on both ancient experiences and recent discoveries, as well as on an original interpretation of taste.
The passion for our work translates into an indefatigable quest for perfection.
