Fusilli is a short pasta shape that brings women's hair to mind.
They are known throughout southern Italy, albeit with different names: ricci di donna in Calabria, incannulate in Puglia, turcinateddi or fusiddi in Sicily, maccarones a ferrittus in Sardinia.
